This exhibition, with a display area of 400 square meters, introduces the major types of soil resources in China, including the entire sections of 88 sub-classes.Land is the foundation for human existence, and a fundamental resource of agricultural production. China enjoys a vast territory and rich natural resources, having most soil types of the world, like laterite, lateritic red earth, black soil, albic soil, and alpine frost desert soil.The samples collected by CAM show the characteristics of the original geomorphic features, the natural vegetation and produces. From written words, photographs, models, landscapes, paintings, videos, multimedia presentations, and interactive activities, visitors will be able to learn about soil, the relationship between soil and agriculture, and the relations between soil and human activities. The exhibition offers knowledge and experience about soil and Chinese soil resources, and heightens one’s sense of soil utilization.

       “Soil Samples from Representative Areas of China” is a themed display based on soil samples collected by CAM. CAM gathered and made more than 10 styles of complete soil samples from Representative Areas of China, and which is considered as the most types, the most complete and the most advanced soil samples series of China so far. As a professional display, the whole exhibition hall was designed as structure of soil body, visitors can feel interesting and true while strolling among them, it seems much easier to understand knowledge of soil.
